Position Summary

Landsberg Orora – Engineered Packaging Solutions (EPS) is seeking a talented and tech-savvy Product Manager to join their amazing EPS team! This critical role requires deep expertise in packaging equipment and materials, working closely with the marketing department, executive team, sales, sales support, and operations. The Product Manager will ensure the EPS product line aligns with business objectives and meets company growth goals.

Reports to: Director of EPS, Landsberg Orora

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops and executes product strategy and roadmap for packaging equipment and materials, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Provides technical expertise on various packaging equipment and materials, supporting sales teams and customers in selecting the best solutions.
• Engages directly with customers to understand application needs and provide tailored packaging solutions.
• Works with vendors and suppliers to evaluate and enhance product offerings, negotiate pricing, and develop promotional strategies.
• Defines value propositions and pricing strategies for both equipment and materials to drive sales growth.
• Conducts training sessions for sales representatives and customers on packaging equipment, material applications, and best practices.
• Analyzes market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities for product development.
• Manages business planning and execution processes, including sales targets, forecasting, and performance metrics.
• Applies strong project management skills to drive initiatives and ensure alignment with sales goals.
• Provides ongoing education on packaging technology, automation, and material innovations to internal teams.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications/Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering, business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 3 years of experience in the consumable packaging industry with a strong focus on packaging equipment and/or materials (required).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Expertise in various packaging equipment and materials, including automated systems, industrial packaging machinery, and specialty materials.
• Strong knowledge of sales, marketing, and general business management in the packaging industry.
• Ability to evaluate technical specifications and recommend packaging solutions that optimize performance and cost.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive strategic decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly.
• Highly organized, motivated, and able to manage long-term, high-impact projects.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
• Ability to adapt to changing industry trends and drive innovation in packaging solutions.

Salary: $96,000 - $111,000

Bonus: 10% annually

Travel: Local travel reimbursement for tolls, gas, etc.
