Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Tinley Park, IL (on-site)

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 10% bonus

Requirements: 3 years in a leadership role within the manufacturing/production industry

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our Paper Plant team at Tinley Park, IL. We've been very successful for over 50 years, while consistently growing year over year - with an average tenure of 8 years!

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include coordinating machine shipments, managing aftermarket assemblies, and collaborating with Engineering, Service, Sales, Inventory Control, Finance, and Sourcing for timely deliveries. The role also involves leading process improvement sessions, enhancing machine designs, and maintaining KPI reports.

What You Will Do

• Oversee the scheduling of converting equipment and manage the purchasing and receipt of waxed roll stock, cases, adhesives, pallets, and packaging supplies.
• Prepare raw material forecasts, collaborate with suppliers, and adjust inventory as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practices in production.
• Monitor production standards to ensure timely output.
• Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing
• Promote shop floor organization and maintain cleanliness.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing experience
• Previous experience scheduling employees and managing purchasing receipts for equipment/supplies
• Sets daily/weekly goals for the plant and ensures they are met, while also coordinating plant activities in the absence of the Paper Operations Manager.
• Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing
• Six Sigma Certification would be ideal
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
