We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to manage and oversee the financial aspects of our commercial real estate properties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance in accounting practices while supporting the financial goals of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial statements for various properties
- Perform month-end close activities and reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable for properties
- Process tenant bill backs and recoveries
- Prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and oversee lease agreements
- Conduct financial analysis of property performance
- Assist in CAM reconciliation and tenant recoveries
- Collaborate with property managers to provide financial insights
- Support tax preparation and insurance management for properties
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1 years of experience in Commercial Property Accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
- Experience with accounting software such as AppFolio or QuickBooks
- Proficient in month-end close processes and financial reconciliations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of commercial leases and property management practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
