Position Overview
The Quality Control Manager will oversee the quality assurance and quality control processes on electrical construction projects, ensuring compliance with federal standards and safety regulations. This role is critical in maintaining the quality of work and safety in secure military locations and substations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures for electrical construction projects.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Identify hazards and assess risks associated with construction activities.
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure quality definable features of work are met.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain quality control documentation and reports for federal construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 and USACE/NAVFAC standards.
- 10 Years federal construction experience as a Project Manager, Superintendent, QCM, Project Engineer, Design Engineer, or similar position.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control in electrical construction on federal projects.
- Experience working on high and/or medium voltage duct banks, substations, etc.
- Proven experience with federal construction standards and safety compliance.
- Strong knowledge of hazard identification and safety regulations.
- Experience working in secure military locations and substations.
- Certifications in quality control management are preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- $120,000 - $150,000 base salary depending on experience
