Position Overview
The Quality Engineer Plastics will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and processes to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. The Quality Engineer will identify areas of opportunity for improvement and implement strategies to resolve quality issues. The Quality Engineer will maintain quality documentation and work closely with other departments to ensure quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems and processes to meet customer expectations and industry standards.
Analyze customer requirements and develop quality control plans to ensure product quality.
Monitor and audit quality processes to ensure compliance with standards.
Investigate customer complaints and identify root cause of quality issues.
Implement corrective and preventative actions to mitigate quality risks.
Maintain quality documentation and prepare reports as required.
Work closely with other departments to ensure quality standards are met.
Implement lean and Six Sigma methodology to improve quality processes.
Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other quality tools to identify and eliminate variation.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
2 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Plastics Manufacturing, and/or Automotive Manufacturing.
Proficiency with SPC, ISO 9001, Lean, and Six Sigma methodology.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Knowledge of quality systems and processes.
Strong focus on continuous improvement.
