We are currently seeking an Accountant to join our team. This role is 100% remote.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare and assist in the preparation of reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
• Record and maintain accrued expenses, payroll journal entries, payroll accruals, BD and other revenue accruals, and interest income/expense accruals.
• Identify and research anomalies in expense trends and ensure proper coding of expenses.
• Reconcile sales tax transactions, convert non-USD and non-CAD transactions, and prepare/upload sales tax transactions for non-US filings.
• Coordinate additional sales tax registrations and resolve sales tax notices.
• Monitor chargeback rates, review and reconcile chargebacks, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
• Work with sales and customer service teams to address chargeback concerns and prevent future occurrences.
• Monitor alert services, chargeback costs, and provide suggestions for cost efficiencies.
• Handle applications and setup for new MIDs, including managing relationships with merchant providers.
• Validate collection of prior months in transit amounts, reconcile and record chargebacks and processing fees, and identify end of month in transit amounts.
• Prepare weekly flash reports, assist with cash forecasting, prepare audit schedules, and assist with annual audits.
• Perform other tasks as identified by the controller or VP of finance.
  
  

What You Need For This Position

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
• 5 years of Accounting experience with a focus on chargeback management and expense control
• In-depth experience with merchant reconciliations and a thorough understanding of merchant processing issues (chargebacks, alert services, chargeback mitigation, reconciliation, etc.).
• Experience with Avalara and sales tax return processing. International is a huge plus!
• Experience with Excel
