In this role, you will be tasked with implementing, timely delivering and leading Health and Safety accountability and objective, and on a project basis, overseeing our organization's safety programs and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
This will include the direction/management of a Safety Coordinator, and will report to the Program Manager.
This role will be based in the Louisville, KY metro area, with occasional travel, upwards of 15%, give or take.

Key Role Duties And Responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with Site Leadership to strategize efforts for compliance with internal and external requirements, centralizing EHS reporting and participation.
- Manage EHS Specialists, including delegations, assignments, mentorship, and scheduling.
- Maintain an active on-site presence, conducting daily safety inspections, site walks, documentation audits, toolbox talks, and overall site safety management.
- Provide guidance, training (including onboarding orientations), and coaching to field staff, project teams, contractors, and visitors to ensure the execution of the safety program in accordance with applicable regulations and company/customer needs.
- Lead incident investigation panels, root cause analysis, emergency response, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Review changes or deviations to EHS processes, tasks, or forms with the EHS Program Manager and site leadership for approval.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of proven and advancing experience in Health Safety leadership and management within the Construction Industry.
- Possession of OSHA 30 certification is mandatory.
- Required certifications include CSP, ASP, STS-C, IOSH, and/or an equivalent CHST certification.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations.
- Significant experience in conducting inspections, investigating incidents, managing process safety, overseeing contractor safety, delivering safety training, performing hazard reviews, and conducting job safety analysis.
- Exceptional leadership, mentoring, coaching, and team-building qualities.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and managing diversity in the workplace.
- Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities.
- Proficiency in interacting with a wide variety of personnel, including upper management, clients, other craft partners, and vendors.
- Proficiency in using computer applications such as MS Office, MS 365, MS Visio, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership, communication, influencing, and collaborative skills.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
