Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and pricing.
- Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods to meet production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality of products.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and plan inventory levels accordingly.
- Monitor industry trends and market conditions to inform purchasing decisions and strategies.
- Assist in the development of procurement strategies that align with the company's goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven senior-level experience as a Buyer, Procurement Specialist, Strategic Sourcing Specialist or related role, preferably in the chemicals industry or related sectors.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and supply chain management principles.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
