Position Overview
The Senior MEP/Architecture Engineer will lead the design and development of electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. This role encompasses both technical leadership and project management, aiming to deliver innovative solutions in a timely manner while mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design projects from conception to completion.
- Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design.
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with designs and standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and client communications effectively.
- Ensure all designs are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP Engineering. Architecture firm experience is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
- Experience with BIM and 3D modeling tools such as SolidWorks and Sketchup is preferred.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and electrical design principles.
- Familiarity with LEED certification process is a plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
