Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for heavy civil construction projects including earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and underground utilities.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Develop bid proposals and submit to clients in a timely manner.
- Manage and oversee the estimation process from initial inquiry to final bid submission.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure accurate cost projections and project specifications.
- Evaluate construction contracts and identify potential risks associated with project execution.
- Implement value engineering practices to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Assist in change order management and negotiation with clients and subcontractors.
- Maintain construction documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for heavy civil construction projects.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on cost control and risk assessment.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and scheduling.
- Competitive Base Salary DOE $100,000 - $140,000
