What You Will Be Doing
As our Senior Mechanical CAD Designer, you'll be responsible for the design and development of advanced aerospace and defense systems. Responsibilities include:
- Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings in Solidworks for aerospace and defense components and systems
- Conduct thorough analysis and optimization of mechanical designs to meet performance, weight, and manufacturing requirements
- Collaborate with the prototyping and testing teams to ensure the successful transition of designs from concept to physical prototypes, addressing any design challenges or modifications as needed
- Document design specifications, engineering change orders, and technical reports
- 3 years' experience as a Mechanical CAD Designer in the aerospace or defense industry
- Must be proficient in SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of aerospace and defense engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, MIL-STD)
