What You Will Be Doing
We are looking for a hands-on, on the floor approach, mechanical engineer with design experience.
- Lead R&D projects and product improvement initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate special projects, including the design and fabrication of production equipment.
- Develop mechanical / electromechanical fixtures and machines based on customer requirements.
- Design automated and semi/automated assembly and secondary machines.
- Evaluate existing mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Improve yield and throughput of production systems.
- Design test methods for system and product quality.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair services.
- 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering (Or equivalent experience)
- 4 years experience designing / maintaining hydraulic/pneumatic presses and automated assembly machines.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Understanding of basic machining processes.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
- Familiarity with FEA.
- Microsoft Office
- Experience designing munitions desired (Not required)
