You will be responsible for evaluating and underwriting non-qualified mortgage loans, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in underwriting non-conforming loans and will play a key role in supporting the growth of our non-QM mortgage portfolio. This is a fully remote position!!

Key Responsibilities
- Manually underwrite Non-Agency/Non-QM correspondent, wholesale/broker, and retail loans in a timely manner to ensure loan meets all product and property guidelines of Company and investors, as well as meeting all established loan policies, credit limits and regulatory requirements. Evaluate and underwrite non-QM mortgage loan applications with a focus on non-conforming loans.
- Analyze borrower's credit file, collateral, and capacity to ensure creditworthiness.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential issues or red flags.
- Maintain production goals & standards in accordance with established KPIs and production metrics.
- Complete 30-40 decisions/month
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in underwriting standards for non-QM loans.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelors Degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience in mortgage loans (conventional, FHA, Govt or Non-QM)
- Minimum of 2 yeas of experience with Non-QM underwriting
- Experience with the following programs: Bank Statement, P&L, 1099, DSCR, Investor Cashflow
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Competitive Base Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 (DOE)
