Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete underwriting process, which includes handling submissions, conducting account underwriting, issuing quotes, managing policy binding, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Cultivate and nurture robust relationships with agency partners, facilitating effective communication to drive profitable growth.
- Execute daily underwriting functions with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and high levels of client satisfaction.
- Engage proactively with agency partners and management on a daily basis, providing outstanding support and addressing inquiries promptly.
- At least 5 years of direct underwriting experience in the Senior Living sector.
- A proven history of success in underwriting within the senior living industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of state and federal regulations relevant to senior living insurance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities for efficient collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong capability to work independently in a remote setting while managing responsibilities effectively.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to attend industry events for professional development.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting, specifically within the Senior Living sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
