Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial reports in compliance with DCAA, FAR, and DFARS regulations
- Manage the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements
- Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for manufacturing projects
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and answering auditor inquiries
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and improve reporting processes
- Utilize ERP and MRP systems to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff accountants
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing or government contracting environment
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance regulations (DCAA, FAR, DFARS)
- Experience with financial controls and audit processes
- Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
