Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Project Engineer - Electrical to lead and manage electrical engineering projects within the water and wastewater industry. This role will focus on providing technical expertise and overseeing the design and implementation of electrical systems, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting all quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Develop detailed electrical designs and specifications for power distribution, backup generators, motor controls, lighting, and grounding systems.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to create and review engineering drawings and models.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful execution.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Prepare project documentation including reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the water/wastewater industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, backup generators, motor controls, lighting systems, and grounding systems.
- Excellent project management skills and experience leading engineering projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
