Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess supplier capabilities and performance using metrics and benchmarks.
- Develop and implement supplier development plans to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supplier-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Facilitate training and development programs for suppliers to improve processes and performance.
- Manage supplier relationships and communicate expectations effectively to drive improvements.
- Analyze supplier data and performance trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
- This role requires some travel 30% some domestic & Internationally
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 years experience in manufacturing and supplier management and development
- Must have some Hands-On Manufacturing or Machining in their background (Machinist, physical Manuacturing background, etc etc)
- ERP systems and the supply chain management process.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and tools
- Experience with PDM systems and project management principles.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings.
- Excellent analytical and statistical analysis skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality management systems.
- Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Six Sigma
