The Tax Senior will play a critical role in managing and overseeing tax compliance and planning for a diverse portfolio of clients. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can deliver high-quality service while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients to optimize their tax positions.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff members.
- Research and analyze tax regulations and their impact on client situations.
- Coordinate with clients to gather necessary documents and information for tax filings.
- Assist with fiduciary tax matters, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations relevant to clients' industries.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
- Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or tax-related roles.
- Strong knowledge of individual, partnership, corporate, and fiduciary taxation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
