We are seeking a skilled Traveling Quality Control Manager (QCM) specializing in marine dredging projects. The ideal candidate will oversee quality control processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements while traveling to various job sites. This role is critical in maintaining high standards of quality throughout the duration of dredging operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans for marine dredging projects.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and teams to address quality control issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, reports, and records as required by governing bodies such as USACE.
- Train and mentor site personnel on quality control procedures and practices.
- Liaise with government and federal agencies to ensure all quality control measures meet required standards.
- Evaluate and manage subcontractor quality control efforts to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality control management within the marine or construction industry.
- Familiarity with dredging operations and related quality control practices.
- Certifications such as CQCM or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience working with USACE and other government entities is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
