The VP of Sales will have the chance to oversee our construction division starting from scratch with our sales team. We are looking specifically for someone who is very hands on in managing their sales teams. We do lots of paving, HVAC, and plumbing services for our clients and are looking for a candidate who has experience selling their services as well. Position Overview

The VP of Sales (Construction) will lead and drive the sales strategies and operations for our construction division. This role is essential in establishing and nurturing relationships with key clients, achieving sales targets, and expanding our market presence within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals and sales targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to enhance performance and productivity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the construction sector, including major retailers and distributors.
  • Utilize CRM tools, particularly Salesforce, to track sales metrics and customer interactions.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and areas for growth within the construction industry.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations to align sales initiatives with overall company objectives.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to executive management on sales performance and market trends.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as VP of Sales, Director of Sales, or Sales Director in the construction industry.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.
  • Strong background in sales management and team leadership.
  • Hands on, day to day management with their sales reps, conducting and attending meetings
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time for customer/vendor meetings
  • Experience with major retailers such as WalMart, Target, Lowes, FedEx, and Home Depot.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction markets, including paving, HVAC, and plumbing.
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform sales strategies.
