Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Diabetes Surveillance Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in analytic data management, statistical analysis, and programming, with experience in managing large datasets and complex surveys. This position will focus on driving innovation, enhancing data management processes, and improving the efficiency of data analysis efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform analytic data management, statistical analysis, and interpretation of administrative data and large, complex surveys.
- Utilize statistical programming languages and analysis software such as SAS, SUDAAN, or R for data analysis and interpretation.
- Apply knowledge of statistical methods to complete rigorous data analysis and generate meaningful insights.
- Leverage Geographic Information System (GIS) software and tools like ArcGIS to analyze and visualize spatial data.
- Support the team in enhancing data modernization efforts and integrating new features and data into applications.
- Utilize interactive data visualization tools such as Tableau to present findings and results.
- Perform database management, including querying, transformation, and quality control of large datasets.
- Work closely with team members to ensure that data analysis is accurate and aligned with organizational goals.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience in analytic data management, including knowledge of best practices, tools, and techniques.
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods and the ability to conduct and interpret statistical analyses.
- Experience with statistical programming languages such as SAS, SUDAAN, or R.
- Direct experience performing analytic data management and statistical analysis of administrative data and large surveys.
- Knowledge and experience with GIS software and programming, specifically ArcGIS, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in interactive data visualization tools such as Tableau.
Additional Desired Skills:
- Extensive experience with database management, querying, and data quality control using SQL.
- Strong knowledge of data warehouse design, analytics technology integrations, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Familiarity with computer programming languages like JavaScript, Python, and other relevant technologies.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data stewardship, data security, and data management.
- Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and tools.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Adobe Analytics, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git for managing and collaborating on code.
