Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and document requirements, collaborating with Product Owners (PO) and Scrum teams to define functionality and scope.
- Facilitate discussions with POs to identify and document the "what," including data modeling, activity diagrams, mapping, and UI design questions.
- Conduct pre-refinement sessions to prepare and finalize user stories, ensuring they are clear, testable, and categorized appropriately (MVP, Post MVP, Fast Follow).
- Work with the PO to prioritize tasks and maintain alignment with sprint timelines, staying 2-3 sprints ahead to optimize delivery.
- Assist in backlog management, including cleaning out outdated stories, archiving unused work, and maintaining an organized backlog inventory.
- Collaborate on documenting initiatives, epics, and stories, ensuring alignment with project goals and supporting PI Planning activities.
- Monitor daily production systems, troubleshoot issues, and support business and system enhancements to meet client requirements.
- Lead and execute system testing processes, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and adherence to project timelines.
- Identify and document cross-application enhancements, ensuring development impacts are communicated to relevant teams.
- Provide continuous support to project stakeholders and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 4-8 years of experience as a Business System Analyst or in a related role.
- Strong understanding of agile processes, user stories, and backlog management.
- Experience facilitating pre-refinement discussions and creating testable, well-documented user stories.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, spreadsheets, and agile backlog prioritization.
- Knowledge of data modeling, process flows, and activity-level diagrams to support business and technical requirements.
- Ability to work ahead of sprints, ensuring tasks and priorities align with delivery schedules.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for engaging with product owners and technical teams.
- Experience leading system testing efforts, including preparation, execution, and implementation support.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage large backlogs, document epics, and support PI planning activities.
