IT Project Manager (LIMS) - Hybrid

Job Description:

As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will manage a large-scale IT project in support of the Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services (DCLS) within Client. This role involves overseeing the implementation of the clinical and environmental laboratory information management system(s) (LIMS), ensuring the project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across different departments to gather requirements, create and maintain documentation, provide RFP input, plan project timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clearly define roles and responsibilities, drive constructive and productive participation by all involved.
• Aggressively manage project tasks assuring work progresses according to schedule.
• Collect requirements from a broad set of users and combine them into a comprehensive statement of requirements.
• Prepare documentation, obtain approval, and track all changes in project scope.
• Communicate project changes and events to stakeholders and senior management.
• Set project goals and develop plans to meet those goals.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution of projects.
• Manage multiple associated projects throughout the project lifetime to ensure success as defined by adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.
• Conduct regular project meetings and ensure comprehensive documentation of project progress and outcomes.
• Provide timely status reports to reflect project status, issues, and risks.
• Proactively identify risks and impacts, and collaborate with the customer and project team to address concerns.
• Consult with the project team on all aspects of project management and ensure compliance with client’s project management policies, standards, and guidelines.
  
  

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• Proven work experience as an IT Project Manager
• Significant experience in agile and waterfall project management methodologies
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Experience in the RFP process
• Experience with Planview Enterprise 1 or similar Portfolio and Project Management tools
• Experience with Azure DevOps or other Agile Project Management tools
• Certified Project Manager by PMI or Client PM certification
• Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems is highly desired
  
  

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
