Job Description: -

The primary purpose of the Senior Civil Engineer is to provide leadership of discipline engineers and designers in the design decision making process with respect to technical compliance and best practices for large and complex projects. The secondary purpose is to ensure compliance with project scope, budget and scheduling when performing as a Project Lead Discipline Engineer. The third purpose of this position is to provide a liaison between Discipline Engineers, Project Managers, and the Chief Discipline Engineer regarding the course of specific projects with respect to the discipline.

You will:

·        Plan, schedule, and conduct detailed discipline engineering work with other disciplines.

·        Assume “in-charge” responsibility and technical compliance with all codes, laws and regulations associated with a Professional Engineers role.

·        Establish schedules, budgets, and scope documents to meet project requirements compatible with Customer’s and Company’s objectives.

·        Coordinate the discipline’s engineering with that of the other disciplines.

·        Direct and assign the preparation of all discipline design drawings and specifications required for a project to those discipline personnel assigned to the project.

·        Prepare and submit periodic reports and forecasts specific to project requirements.

·        Fully understand work sequence, general content, and methods used to generate all required project discipline documents.

·        Conform to core values and assist others to adhere to them. Ensures quality and completeness of engineering functions.

·        Through grasp of applicable codes and regulatory requirements.

·        Understand and manage scope change control process and can identify scope changes easily.

·        Familiar with design engineering and drawing production programs and software, specifically Civil 3D.

You Bring:

·        Minimum bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or aligned applicable degree.

·        Minimum 10-15 years prior experience within Civil Engineering working project(s) in mining/minerals, oil & gas, industrial, power or utilities industries

·        Experience as a discipline leader for heavy industrial projects (mining/mineral preferred)

·        Valid PE license

·        Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software

·        Ability to work within teams and individually on projects.
