Key Responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing high-value sales opportunities within the bulk material handling industry. Your primary duties will include:
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement data-driven sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified leads and new business opportunities.
- Conduct outreach to Fortune 1000 companies, engaging senior decision-makers and key stakeholders.
- Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring long-term customer relationships and business success.
Client Relationship Management
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with executives, engineers, and procurement teams.
- Conduct needs assessments to tailor customized, high-value solutions for each client.
- Expand account penetration by targeting both corporate and field locations.
- Develop and present technical proposals that highlight value, cost savings, and performance improvements.

Collaboration & Market Expansion
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Leadership teams to develop tailored solutions that align with customer needs and the company's guiding core values.
- Strengthen relationships with manufacturer’s representatives by providing them with strategic guidance and sales support to enhance market coverage and drive regional growth.
- Leverage cross-functional expertise to accelerate sales cycles, improve solution implementation, and proactively address customer concerns.
- Utilize CRM platforms to track sales activity, monitor pipeline progress, and analyze performance metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement in sales strategy.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Leadership teams to ensure effective solution delivery.
- Strengthen relationships with manufacturer’s representatives to enhance market coverage.
- Utilize CRM platforms to track sales activity, monitor pipeline progress, and analyze performance metrics.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Sales Closer – Experience managing complex sales cycles and securing large deals.
- Industry Expertise – Background in bulk material handling, capital industrial equipment, or engineered systems preferred.
- Technical & Business Acumen – Ability to translate technical solutions into tangible business benefits.
- Strong Negotiator – Skilled in structuring deals that maximize profitability and long-term growth.
- Self-Motivated & Goal-Oriented – Capable of working independently while maintaining high performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in bulk material handling, manufacturing, or engineered to order, Capex level sales cycle preferred.
- Familiarity with ** sales methodologies** Sandler and/or Impact Selling.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), Microsoft Office, and virtual sales platforms.
- Ability to travel up to 50% for client meetings, industry events, and site visits.
