Job descriptionThe employee will be working in the Pre-Process Inspection Area performing a variety of inspection and testing duties to insure that shipped products fulfill all customer specification and quality requirements.
Primary Operational Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to read, understand and learn customer specifications, Cygnus operating procedures, and work order instructions to certify part Quality Inspection and acceptance.
- Perform physical and visual inspection of raw materials, fabricated parts, and equipment in accordance with work order, specifications, operating procedures, and other documentation.
- Complete inspection task and required paper work accurately, in a timely manner.
- Perform and document all inspection results, ensuring all planned quality requirements are met and when necessary, troubleshoot and initiate nonconformance reports and disposition all nonconforming items.
- Follow scheduled priority list to ensure parts are shipped on time.
Typical Benefits Package:
- This is a full-time day shift position - Schedule is a 9/80 pay period. 1st week Mon-Thu 6am-3:30pm & Fri 6am-2:30pm 2nd week Mon-Thu 6am-3:30pm & Fri off.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Special Skills, and Knowledge:
- Experience with measuring devices is preferred: Faro Arm, CMM and calipers.
- Must have good reading and math skills.
- Familiarity with standard office equipment and software including personal computers, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of and/or ability to learn and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Physical Requirements:
- May sit or stand for extended periods at a time at a desk, bench, or table.
- May also be required to work at a computer terminal or near moving mechanical parts.
- Close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required. The employee must pass a basic eye exam and demonstrate color perception (ability to perform color comparisons).
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and 25 pounds occasionally.
