Main ED consists of 33 beds and 8 beds for Trauma/Resuscitation.
Facilities include Behavioral Health rooms and vertical care areas for higher acuity patients.
The unit prefers RN candidates with 2 years of ED experience, excluding travel experience.
First-time travelers or those living within 100 miles of any facility are not accepted.
Candidates must be comfortable managing a diverse range of patient types from neonates to geriatrics.
The department is a Level 2 trauma center and a complete Stroke center.
Candidates should be proficient in evidence collection for Sexual Assault cases.
There is a 24/7 SA Quality Coordinator and a supportive staff available for assistance.
The role involves prioritizing care with strong critical thinking skills.
Patient ratios for RNs are 1:4-5.
Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, with CPI or MAB/MOAB preferred.
Experience With EPIC Charting System Is Preferred.
Travelers may float to inpatient Med/Surg, PCU, or ICU areas as a task nurse.
Orientation includes 8 hours of facility education and a minimum of two 12-hour shifts on the unit.
Variable shift times range from morning to late evening; working on weekends may be required.
Holiday shifts are covered as needed.
