Job Title: Registered Nurse

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 06:45)

Guaranteed Hours: Option of 36 or 48 hours

Experience: 2 years experience required; previous travel experience required

License: Valid RN license or Compact RN license

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Must-Have: Willingness to float as needed; ability to wear navy scrubs

Job Description

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
• Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
• Collect patient health data and analyze assessment data to determine patient problems.
• Identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient and develop a comprehensive plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Implement interventions identified in the plan of care and evaluate patient progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Assist with the plan of care, evaluate, modify, and coordinate care, while communicating effectively with other disciplines.
• Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel in compliance with the Board of Nursing.
• Conduct discharge planning, assisting the patient/significant others to obtain knowledge about illness, injury prevention, and teaching.
• Maintain confidentiality with all information.
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned.
  
  

Floating: Travelers will be expected to float to like units within their scope, as needed, based on facility needs.

Orientation: Modules to be completed onsite during orientation, with average 4-6 hours for RNs.
