Job Title : Special Procedures Technologist Job Specialty : Special Procedures Technologist Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 09 : 00 AM - 05 : 30 PM Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years; one year in interventional radiology required License : State Radiology Technologist License required Certifications : - ARRT - Vascular Interventional Radiography credential must be obtained within 18 months of start Must-Have : Sheath removal skills Job Description : - Work in a unit that features hybrid rooms performing both vascular surgery and cardiology procedures. - Manage a patient ratio of 1 : 1 in the hybrid operating rooms. - Specialize in procedures such as TAVR, laser lead extractions, angiograms, TVAR, EVAR, and TCAR. - Utilize common equipment including ESU, Suction / Dornaek, lasers, and Siemens x-ray equipment. - Responsible for basic rhythm interpretation as RNs must know how to read tele strips. - No requirement to titrate medication, and no commonly given medications. - Document care using Epic charting system. - Wear hospital-provided scrubs. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
