Job Description:
- Perform, maintain and train on techniques and methods for producing media required for Quality Control testing which includes autoclaving and cleaning glassware.
- Prepare media and sterile supplies according to Standard Operating Procedure.
- Provide accurate and concurrent laboratory documentation using data capture and records.
- Monitor and replenish media as required to prevent any testing delays.
- Maintain a supply of consumables and accurate inventory logs.
- Understand and follow cleaning and disinfection procedures.
- Conduct routine equipment monitoring.
- In addition to the above, other assigned duties are deemed appropriate within the position's scope.
- Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Aseptic technique knowledge.
- Ability to use an autoclave, steam kettle, and bottle washer.
- Basic math skills and equipment troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree preferred.
