Corporate Controller
Location: New York, NY
Position Overview:
The Corporate Controller will serve as a senior leader within the finance organization, providing strategic oversight of core accounting functions, treasury operations, and accounts payable. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this individual will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Lead the monthly preparation and review of accurate financial statements.
- Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors during the annual financial audit process.
- Internal Controls: Develop and uphold robust internal control systems to protect organizational assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Account Reconciliation: Oversee reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts in accordance with company policy.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal financial policies.
- Treasury Management: Collaborate with treasury personnel to update weekly cash flow forecasts and support cash management strategies.
- Accounts Payable Oversight: Ensure adherence to procurement processes and timely payment of approved invoices.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage high-performing accounting, accounts payable, and treasury teams.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Prior experience in public accounting (Big 4 background preferred) combined with significant corporate controllership experience
- 15 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with business leaders
- Experience in the retail or consumer goods industry is a plus
- Comfort engaging with senior leadership and board members
Salary : $225,000 - $250,000
