Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax compliance, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution.

Position Summary :
Vessel Technologies is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our accounting processes. This individual will play a key role in overseeing financial reporting, compliance, and planning, while supporting the company's rapid growth and innovative mission.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in accounting and financial management, thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and demonstrates the ability to drive process improvements in alignment with Vessel's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
Manage the annual audit process and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement financial policies, controls, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making and growth strategies.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with operational priorities.
