SUMMARY OF POSITION, FUNCTION AND DUTIES
This position is for the 25-26 school year with a start date of August, 2025.
The Transitional Kindergarten Teacher’s Assistant serves under the direct supervision of the elementary principal to provide instructional, classroom, and administrative support to the lead teacher. This role is essential in helping fulfill the school’s mission of honoring the Lord Jesus Christ by supporting students' growth through academic excellence and biblical values. The assistant is responsible for aiding in classroom management, supervision of students, preparing materials, supporting student learning activities, and fostering a nurturing and Christ-centered environment. Additional duties may be assigned to support various administrative functions within the school as needed.

- Must be a born-again Christian whose lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures, and express agreement with the doctrinal viewpoints and Christian lifestyle requirements of the school.

- This staff position requires the staff member to spiritually care and minister to those under the staff member’s influence and leadership. This includes but is not limited to being available to pray with other employees, challenging your team with Bible principles during staff meetings, and extending the mission and vision of the school into the culture of the staff member’s department.

FUNCTION AND DUTIES
- Assist the lead TK teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities
- Provide individual and small group instructional support to reinforce learning concepts
- Help maintain a structured, nurturing, and Christ-centered classroom environment
- Support classroom management by promoting positive behavior and student engagement
- Prepare instructional materials, supplies, and learning centers as directed
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other non-classroom times
- Assist with arrival and dismissal procedures to ensure student safety
- Provide spiritual encouragement and model Christian values in all interactions
- Communicate effectively with the lead teacher, school staff, and parents as needed
- Perform light clerical tasks such as copying, organizing, and maintaining student records
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required
- Support and uphold the school’s mission, philosophy, and code of conduct
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall function of the school
