Essential Functions
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing
Motion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of a mouse; frequent movement of test booklets, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
Lifting: Lifting and carrying (up to 40 pounds)
Environment: Frequent district-wide travel
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress

- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited college or university, master’s degree preferred;
- Valid Texas teaching certificate;
- A minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as a secondary classroom teacher is required;
- Effective communication skills, written and oral presentation, and strong interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Excel, specifically sorting and filtering spreadsheets;
- Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.

Essential Functions
- Coordinate, order materials, provide training, and maintain confidentiality and test security for the federal and state assessment programs such as but not limited to STAAR/STAAR-Alt2).
- Ensure data integrity as related to district and state testing and accountability systems.
- Train staff on procedures and guidelines of the Texas State Assessment Program.
- Work with campus staff to identify students’ needs to maintain an appropriate testing program (i.e., accommodations, schedules, etc.).
- Assist the principal and other building administrators with the interpretation and distribution of all assessment results.
- Report to the district state assessment coordinator for training and updates.
- Monitor training of TELPAS raters and maintain certification records.
- Coordinate, plan, and train staff for campus-wide PSAT, Aspire, and ACT testing.
- Assist with Advanced Placement exam administration.
- Track End of Course substitutions and credits.
- Coordinate summer test administrations.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
