Chaplain Worship Coordinator
Episcopal High School is seeking a Worship Coordinator to design, produce, and manage its Daily Chapel Program. Daily Chapel is the heartbeat of life at Episcopal High School. Chapel meets every day (approximately 140 services per year). It is modeled on the liturgy of the 1979 Book of Common Prayer, but also makes allowances for the wide variety of celebration and support required to minister to a religiously diverse, college preparatory high school.
Essential Functions (Reports to Dean of Religion and Religion Department Chair):

Plan and produce daily liturgies rooted in the 1979 Book of Common Prayer for our school community (800-1000 average daily attendance).

Daily Services include, but are not limited to:
- Modified Morning Prayer
- Weekly Family Chapel (small-group-style worship led by students and advisors.)
- Assemblies that combine prayer with celebration of student achievement in Academics, Athletics, and Arts.
- State services that mark the progression of time in the Academic year Opening of School, Founders Day, Baccalaureate, etc.

Daily Services include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee student, faculty, and parent volunteers in the Chapel program (Friends of the Chapel): includes recruitment, training, scheduling, and accountability.
- Teach two (2-3) sections (1 or 2 preps) of Religion Department classes per semester. Course assignments made in conversation with the Religion Department Chair based on education and academic interest.
- Share in the ministries of word, sacrament, and pastoral care with the other ordained members of the school faculty/staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience:

Ordination to the Priesthood and good standing in The Episcopal Church.
- Canonically resident in the Diocese of Texas, or willing to seek letters dimissory to join the Diocese.
- MDiv or equivalent degree in Christian Scriptures, History, World Religions, or Ethics.

Experience in a large parish or institutional setting planning and producing prayer book liturgies.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
