This exciting role will involve designing tooling and manufacturing processes and creating numerical control programs for machining a variety of parts and materials. A solid understanding of CNC Mills, Lathes, and machine systems will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Arlington, WA area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of various aerospace components. Responsibilities :

• Analyzes drawings, sketches, and design data of part configuration to determine selection of cutting tools, machine center and machine cutting parameters with the assistance of the programming supervisor.
• Review planning to verify the accuracy of bills of materials and labor
• Coordinate, design, and implement machining processes to produce parts per customer requirements.
• Determines the method of work holding and optimal machine cutting paths with the assistance of the programming supervisor.
• Use Siemens NX software to produce numerical code required to machine parts on all 3, 4, and 5 axis machines.
• Use Vericut to validate programs before releasing them to the shop floor.
• Creates set-up sheets and cutter lists for setup and operation
• Creates all tooling drawings and coordinates with planning for tooling work orders.
• Observes machine operatoins as needed to prove out programs on the machine center.
• Revises programs to eliminate quality errors and or set up sheet instruction errors.
• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, and quality control
