Cost Accounting Manager
Job Summary: Offer accounting support to multiple manufacturing facilities across the U.S. and Canada, with some travel required to locations in Canada, Fort Worth, and Houston. This role involves supervising facility accountants and collaborating with operations management to enhance efficiency and productivity in manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include developing reports and analyses to ensure the accuracy of financial statements prepared by the facilities, with an emphasis on improving existing reporting methods and manufacturing processes
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage plant cost accountants.
- Collaborate with operations management to offer guidance and technical support on operational processes.
- Present monthly manufacturing performance results to stakeholders.
- Review and analyze monthly actuals versus planned figures.
- Evaluate product costs and investigate variances related to purchased and manufactured goods.
- Assess and validate the effectiveness of the standard costing system.
- Conduct periodic audits of inventory, including Work in Process, Finished Goods, and Raw Materials, and report findings.
- Design and implement more efficient and accurate manufacturing reporting systems.
- Support special projects and assignments as required.
Requirements:
- Adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Required: Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in using ERP systems such as Oracle Cloud, Oracle EBS, JD Edwards, or similar platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience
- CPA or CMA preferred not required
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Experience utilizing ERP systems and have a good understanding of MRP (material resource planning).
- Must have experience working with Standard Cost
- Aptitude for relating manufacturing activities and processes to financial outcomes.
- Proven track record of results and ability to partner with all levels within the organization
Pay: $125k-$135k
Hybrid (2 days from home)
Salary : $125,000 - $135,000
