Director of Accounting
The Director of Accounting is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the organization’s accounting functions related to Electronic Sell Through (EST) and Video On Demand (VOD) agreements and its financial reporting. This role involves preparing financial statements and business activity reports in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory mandates. The role interacts with WW Collections, Tax, Legal, and FP&A. As a leadership position, the Director supports the VP of Accounting by overseeing core accounting operations, including managing staff responsible for accounts receivable, revenue, general ledger accounting, and month-end financial reporting.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee the preparation of timely financial statements and corporate submissions / disclosures
- Oversee core accounting operations, including accounts receivable, revenue recognition, deferrals, and general ledger accounting and GL account reconciliations
- Review and post journal entries for all aspects of the business
- Manage the month-end financial reporting process
- Consolidate support schedules for internal and external requests
- Supervise a team of accounting staff, ensuring effective team performance and efficiency
- Fulfill ad-hoc requests as needed
