Tax Administrator

Overview
We are seeking a temporary Tax Administrator to support the Tax Department for a regional bank by ensuring the accurate and timely filing of Sales & Use Tax returns and Personal Property Tax returns.
Responsibilities
Sales and Use Tax
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns
Apply for and obtain new jurisdictional licenses as needed
Resolve any discrepancies
Provide sales tax exemption certificates upon request
Maintain accurate records and respond to inquiries from state and local authorities
Research and address sales and use tax inquiries from other departments
Assist with sales tax audits
Prepare multi-jurisdictional personal property tax returns
Review state assessments, process bill payments, and invoice customers
Prepare monthly account reconciliations
Additional duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Requirements
Experience preparing Sales and Use tax returns OR Personal Property tax returns
Proficient in Excel
Background in Accounting preferred
Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to handle multiple assignments / returns at once
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc)
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of leasing and / or mortgage industries
Knowledge of Aspire and / or Lease Plus
Knowledge of PTMS
Pay : $20-25 / hr ($25 is MAX. Compensation can vary depending on experience)
