We are searching for an Operational Excellence (Ops Ex) Specialist to join our team! The Operational Excellence (Ops Ex) Specialist is a critical leader in driving key operational initiatives, including onboarding new teammates and integrating newly acquired partners. They collaborate with our Operations team to refine processes, enhance team performance, and drive operational improvement. . Additionally, this role involves actively assessing and providing feedback on the electronic medical records (EMR) system to improve daily workflow and efficiency. The specialist works closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure that the EMR systems are fully optimized to support patient care and operational efficiency. When not actively engaged in the integration process, part of the time may be filled by treating patients in a clinic. The specialist must uphold core values and provide an outstanding team and patient experience.
Essential Functions
M&A Integration:
- Leads the integration and training process during mergers and acquisitions, focusing on both systems and operational workflows.
- Creates and implements detailed integration training plans based on the unique circumstances of each deal.
- Ensures seamless integration of EMR systems and other clinical tools during the M&A process.
Process Improvement:
- Analyzes the current use of EMR software to identify areas for improvement in workflow, data management, and system performance.
- Develops and implements strategies to optimize the use of EMR systems, ensuring they meet the needs of both clinical and administrative users.
- Implements strategies to optimize efficiency and enhance patient care within the physical therapy practice
Team Support & Training
- New hire training, including orientation, billing, coding, and customer service education.
- Oversees teammate onboarding function including, but not limited to conducting onboarding check-in calls to support new teammates and ensure a smooth transition.
- Provides additional training as needed to address emerging operational requirements.
EMR & Operational Support
- Provides support for EMR software, user setup, addressing user issues and troubleshooting complex problems.
- Works to resolve technical issues and minimize system downtime.
- Monitors and responds to team support tickets related to EMR and operational concerns
Patient Care
- Provides high-quality patient care that aligns with core values and ensures an exceptional patient experience when not actively engaged in an integration.
- Utilizes the EMR system effectively while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborates with the team to provide feedback on EMR functionality and day-to-day workflow enhancements.
Functions
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
1. Must have a physical therapy degree and active physical therapy license
2. This role requires frequent travel including multiple overnight stays across the northern and eastern regions of the country. Candidates must be able to meet the travel requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
3. Must have experience onboarding and training
4. Experience using electronic medical records systems required. Experience with Raintree is beneficial
5. Experience with MS Office Suite required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
