We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Cytiva, where you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of new products, processes, and equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily engineering support to manufacturing operations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to resolve manufacturing and quality problems.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements, design safe, lean, repeatable equipment and processes, and support qualification and validation activities.
This is an on-site role located in Hauppauge, NY, reporting to the Sr. Facilities, Maintenance, and Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Become a subject matter expert in our manufacturing processes to provide support for maintenance, operations, and customers.
- Identify root cause and implement corrective/preventive actions to resolve manufacturing and quality problems.
- Develop and implement process improvements to meet site goals for product quality, manufacturing cost, and process output.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support Qualification & Validation activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design safe, lean, repeatable equipment and processes.
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical degree.
- Proven technical/engineering knowledge with minimum 2 years' experience in engineering ownership of production processes.
- Ability to work independently and with teams, strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of data-driven decision making and sustainment of implemented improvements.
- Self-motivated, drives for implementation of CAPAs and improvement projects with urgency while minimizing risk.
Preferred Experience:
- Root Cause Investigation, CAPA, Statistical Analysis, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean, Continuous Improvement, 5S, Document Change Control, FMECA, Process Validation, cGMP, ISO9001.
- Mechanical aptitude and/or basic understanding of control systems and ability to assist with troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment issues.
