Description
CytoSorbents, a critical care leader specializing in blood purification to treat deadly conditions in critically ill and cardiac surgery patients is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This individual will play a critical role in managing and executing key financial processes including international consolidations, payroll, equity accounting, financial reporting, and preparation of board-level reports. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of US GAAP, experience working in a public company environment, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, regulated industry. This role is hybrid and requires a minimum of 3 days onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Coordinate international consolidations of multiple subsidiaries in accordance with US GAAP and Company policies.
- Process companywide payroll
- Perform equity accounting for stock-based compensation, and other equity transactions; maintain cap tables in coordination with legal and external partners.
- Prepare and analyze the balance sheet, income statement, P&L, and cash flow statements for internal and external reporting.
- Support the preparation of 10-Q, 10-K, and other SEC filings as needed in collaboration with external auditors and the financial reporting team.
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare monthly analysis summarizing financial performance, strategic initiatives, and operational KPIs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and Operations to support business initiatives and financial compliance.
- Assist with implementation and enhancement of financial systems and controls.
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a public company.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and consolidation principles.
- Hands-on experience with equity accounting and stock compensation tools
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Great Plains Experience Preferred and Paylocity experience a plus.
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
