We are seeking highly skilled individuals to join our heavy construction team as Laborers. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in potentially adverse field conditions.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent physical stamina and the ability to perform visual tasks such as backup spotting and hearing and reacting to backup alarms. Additionally, they must be able to follow safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and the candidate must pass a pre-hire drug screen and have a valid driver's license. Current OSHA 10 card holders are also preferred.
**Key Responsibilities:***
Perform selected demolition and removal of concrete and asphalt materials, fixtures, and other construction debris using mechanical and non-mechanical methods
Dump, spread, and tamp asphalt to repair joints and patch broken pavement
Shovel, pour, and spread asphalt, concrete, and other materials
Maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing the area each day
Lubricate, clean, and possibly repair machinery, equipment, and tools
Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials
Work long hours when required, some weekends, and possible night work
