Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and a genuine love for teaching and inspiring students of all ages. This role involves creating engaging dance lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and encouraging students to express themselves through movement. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in developing students' skills, confidence, and appreciation for dance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative dance lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Teach various dance styles, including but not limited to contemporary, jazz, acro, and tap.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their techniques and performance.
- Organize and prepare students for recitals, performances, and competitions as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean studio environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with other instructors to create interdisciplinary programs that may include elements of photography or culinary arts.
- Engage with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any behavioral management strategies as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dance instruction with a strong foundation in ballet or other dance styles.
- Skills in behavior management to effectively handle classroom dynamics.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs, including special education considerations.
- Experience in childcare is a plus, ensuring a nurturing environment for young dancers.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Pay: $30.31 - $34.98 per hour
