We are seeking a Medical Assistant with X-Ray Certification to join our team! This position is a combination of Medical Assisting duties as well as performing diagnostic x-ray imaging. As a Medical Assistant in our Urgent Care practice, you will be responsible for obtaining patient vitals, preparing patient and exam room for treatment, providing routine support alongside medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be responsible for performing any physician ordered x-rays and ensuring images are available for view in our PACS system.

Responsibilities
- Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment
- Perform non-intravenous injections, apply splints and dressings
- Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
- Assist nurses and doctors with preparing for minor procedures, minor surgeries, and physicals
- Perform Physician ordered x-rays
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Current Florida state X-Ray Certification/license is required along with graduation from a recognized medical assisting program
- BLS certification
