Position Overview:
We are seeking a positive, results-driven, and highly capable General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our lawn care, landscaping, and snow plowing business. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the company runs efficiently, remains profitable, and continues to grow. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with exceptional financial skills, a passion for business growth, and the ability to build and manage a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Management:
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of employees to deliver exceptional services to clients.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven company culture.
- Develop and implement clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members.
- Oversee hiring, training, and development of employees to ensure a skilled, effective, and efficient workforce.
2. Financial Oversight & Strategy:
- Manage the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
- Monitor and track key financial metrics (e.g., profit margins, labor costs, revenue growth) to ensure financial health.
- Implement strategies to control costs, improve margins, and maximize profitability.
- Analyze financial reports and make data-driven decisions to improve operational efficiency.
3. Business Growth & Development:
- Identify and implement growth opportunities in both existing markets and potential new ones.
- Drive sales and marketing efforts to expand the client base and increase revenue.
- Develop long-term business strategies to build a sustainable and profitable business.
4. Operations & Customer Service:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain excellent relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
5. Employee Development:
- Build a strong, engaged team through effective recruitment, onboarding, and training programs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employees to enhance their skills and grow within the company.
- Manage performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to drive employee success.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role, preferably within the lawn care, landscaping, or service industries.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, train, and retain employees in a service-oriented business.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A positive attitude with a strong desire to drive business growth.
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscaping, or snow plowing operations is preferred but not required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred.
