Summary
The Tenant Administrator is responsible for managing and ensuring compliance for all technology related to D&H tenancy. The Administrator works closely with IT Infrastructure and IT Security to implement and enforce all components and subcomponents within the current tenant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain all tenant technology and subscriptions, cloud services, and other sub tenant solutions.
- Monitor and track subscription usage to ensure compliance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Discuss new tenant technologies with IT executives and business stakeholders so that future technology changes and subscription costs are well understood.
- Conduct regular audits of tenant subscriptions to ensure compliance and address discrepancies.
- Work with IT Infrastructure and Security teams to negotiate, acquire, renew, and retire subscriptions
- Collaborate with IT and business units to understand solution requirements and ensure proper subscription assignments.
- Stay informed on changes within current tenant, and industry best practices to maintain compliance.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for subscription costs, supporting financial planning efforts.
- Monitor cloud tenant performance and work closely with cloud hosts to ensure resource availability and optimization.
- Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure robust processes for cloud resiliency, including backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Develop and maintain documentation for cloud tenant including operational run books, tenant governance, and monitoring.
- Generate and report metrics around cloud tenant usage to provide actionable insights and support decision making.
Qualifications
· In-depth understanding of various tenant technologies including Azure, Entra, O365 and/or AWS and sub tenant technologies such as Teams, and SharePoint.
· Scalability: Multi-tenant clouds are elastic and can grow or shrink based on business needs, a firm understanding of tenant connectivity between on-prem and private or public clouds.
· Security: Cloud providers maintain security and logical separation between tenants and firm understanding of PIM (Privileged Identity Management)
· Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage ever changing tenant landscapes.
· Familiarity with tools and systems for management of Azure, Entra, O365, and/or AWS technologies, subscription tracking, and usage monitoring.
· Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
· Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing business needs.
· Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance, efficiency, and cost control.
· Soft Skills: Teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability, and effective communication across various departments
Education and/or Experience
Education
· Associates degree in Information Technology or similar area of study required or equivalent years of related work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or similar area of study preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in license or subscription management for technology solutions.
- Certification in Azure or related areas (e.g., Azure Fundamentals) is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise software and solution vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, AWS, Salesforce) is a plus.
