Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Automotive Management Trainee to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals with a passion for the automotive industry and a desire to develop leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in customer service, experience in inventory management, and strong computer skills. As a Management Trainee, you will be mentored to take on leadership responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations, customer satisfaction, and effective management of resources within our automotive business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service & Relations:
- Provide exceptional customer service in-person, over the phone, and via email to ensure positive experiences for every customer.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns with professionalism, offering timely and effective solutions.
- Develop strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, including tracking parts, tools, and supplies.
- Perform regular stock checks and coordinate with vendors to ensure inventory levels are appropriate for business needs.
- Help manage the ordering and receiving of automotive parts and supplies, ensuring product availability and timely deliveries.
- Work with the management team to optimize inventory turnover and reduce waste.
- Computer & Administrative Support:
- Utilize computer systems for inventory tracking, sales processing, and customer data management.
- Generate reports, track sales, and assist with other administrative duties as required.
- Become proficient in the company’s internal systems and tools for workflow optimization.
- Analyze data to assist in improving operational efficiency and identifying business opportunities.
- Training & Development:
- Participate in leadership training programs designed to develop skills in business management, team leadership, and customer relations.
- Shadow senior managers to gain hands-on experience in daily operations, and work on projects that drive business growth and efficiency.
- Provide feedback and insights to senior management on operational challenges, customer feedback, and process improvements.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations, including service, sales, and parts departments.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating work activities for staff to ensure timely and efficient operations.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment.
- Participate in safety training and contribute to maintaining a safe environment for both customers and employees.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree in business management, automotive, liberal arts, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience:
- Previous customer service experience in an automotive or retail environment preferred.
- Experience in inventory management or related administrative tasks.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer concerns professionally.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. as needed for inventory management.
