Summary:
We have a tremendous opportunity for an individual trying to turn a love for technology into a career. Available is an entry-level desktop support opportunity for someone looking to break into the industry. We are willing to train the right candidate. Credentials are helpful but not required. We are requiring the ability to learn technical information, problem solving, troubleshooting, and customer service skills. You will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the configuration and on-going maintenance and usability of:
- desktop / laptop computers
- printers, handheld / mobile devices
- peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines
- Support all Windows desktops and laptops in our North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia branches
- Assist in the deployment, maintenance, and support of all software, hardware, and operating systems
- Assist with onboarding by setting up new accounts and hardware
- Troubleshoot Tier 1 network issues to resolve or escalate
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone, Email, Instant Messenger or through our Ticketing system
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
- Research and resolve employee support tickets involving hardware, software, and malware in an efficient and timely manner
- Provide training to improve user awareness of all IT services and best practices
- Work with IT team to purchasing hardware and software
- Support of ERP/Infor Cloud Suite Distribution
- Support of Mitel phone system, and other office-wide employee-facing systems
- Pull and terminate voice and data cabling
- Security/Surveillance camera network setup
- Effective communication with fellow employees
Requirements
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
Education and Certifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Certifications: CompTIA A /Network Preferred but Microsoft Office or Windows OS certifications are welcome
- Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control in a Windows 10 environment is a plus
