Commercial Lease Processor, Four Stars Finance

We seek a Commercial Underwriter to provide a thorough, objective analysis of the financial condition and creditworthiness of borrowers and individuals as well as an analysis of prevailing industry and market conditions.  The study examines and interprets historical and projected financial statements and related information, biographical data on a company and/or individual, market information, and credit reports, focusing on determining a borrower's repayment ability.  The commercial underwriter must know about the various products and services offered in the commercial equipment/vehicle financing space and the ability to work independently and handle assigned transactions within the established turnaround standards. 

Responsibilities:

-Support the Fleet Account Sales Managers in underwriting requests for commercial leasing credit requests for new and existing clients across the U.S. 

-Provide support to sales staff in contracting and funding leases in a timely and efficient manner. 

-Perform detailed financial analysis on companies, including trend and ratio analysis, business credit history, background/history, suits, liens, judgments, and interpret the financial information.  

-Perform credit and personal financial statement analysis on individuals, guarantors, and co-borrowers to determine repayment capacity based on cash flow statements, tax returns, and statements.  

-Preparation of credit memorandums/presentations to lenders. 

-Build a solid understanding of Commercial Lease finance products and services for business and government entities.  

-Be familiar with bank credit policies and practices, commercial legal lease documents, and regulatory policies. 

-Recommend changes to process to achieve greater efficiency. 

-Build and maintain strong relationships with Sales, our customers, and Lenders using interpersonal and customer service skills, acting as liaison during entire lease process

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (preferred) 

-Minimum of 3-5 years in a commercial credit analysis and underwriting role.  

-Formal Credit training preferred. 

-Sufficient knowledge of commercial lending. 

-Strong analytical skills including the ability to read and assess individual and company financial statements, cash flow, industry and competitive analysis and projections  

-Demonstrated knowledge of intermediate accounting theory and its practical application in the credit underwriting process  

-Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner  

-Strong written and verbal communication skills  

-Problem recognition and resolution skills  

-Ability to work independently and within a team.   

-Self-motivated, goal-oriented and enthusiastic presence in a team environment 

-Proficient in various spreadsheet and word processing applications (Excel and Word are preferred), including the use of graphs and charts, and spreading financial statements. 

-High sense of urgency and ability to work at a fast pace.
